South Florida hip-hop collective Black Locust Society toasted spring break Saturday night with a party for the books. Swarm 7 consisted of tunes from local acts such as Suede Dudes, Lavola, Protoman, and Bleubird, the last of whom has recently returned from some tour dates in Europe. Attendees danced, ignored the winter heat, and guzzled the free beer.

There’s only one regrettable thing about BLS parties: trying to find them. Make one wrong turn off Broward Blvd., where the group’s warehouse is located, and you’re looking at at least another 30 minutes of circling and backtracking. But judging by the size of the crowd this weekend, the prevailing attitude is a triumphant, geographical coordinates be damned y’all!
