If there’s anything we can say comfortably about Election Day today, it’s that it’s sure to be an anxiety-riddled proposition for anybody who cares. Whether you voted early or not, or still have to hit the booth today, we’ve all got a long night to ride out glued to the polls. Why not share the stress with some other people, preferably with some adult beverages? Here are a few places in Miami hosting election-watching parties tonight (and if you’re a Salty Eggs reader, we can kinda guarantee that these places will be full of your people, if you catch our drift).

Know of any more? Click here to e-mail us information; we’ll be updating this as the day goes on.

Oh, and if you’re reading this in the morning and still need to figure out where to vote: yourfuckingpollingplace.com.

Blackbird Ordinary

This downtown pub/club recently launched a new Tuesday party, Swurve, featuring old-school and thinking-people’s hip-hop. You can catch up on the election results here tonight to the sounds of a guest DJ set by Large Professor. Age 21 and up. 729 SW 1st Ave., Miami. Call 305-671-3307, or visit blackbirdordinary.com

Churchill’s Pub

Of course, there are bands on deck for the election party at Churchill’s, which starts relatively early for the venue at 8 p.m. While local acts Gallimus, Decadance Unit, Alpha Q, and more play, the Little Haiti spot promises “all the election action live” on its many TVs. Age 18 and up. 5501 NE 2nd Ave., Miami. Call 305-757-1807, or visit churchillspub.com

Haven

For our friends on South Beach, head to this cool gastro-lounge for an election party over mixologist cocktails and globally inspired small plates. Think sashimi, upscale falafel, and sliders all sitting on a plate and singing kumbaya, much like the multicultural, happy country we’d like to live in. 1237 Lincoln Rd., Miami Beach. Call 305-987-8885, or visit havenlounge.com

South Street

If you haven’t checked out South Street, rising restaurateur kingpin Amir Ben-Zion’s new soul food spot in the Design District, tonight’s as good a time as any. Enjoy cocktails like a Pimm’s iced tea and dishes from the wholesome-sounding quinoa and kale salad to items like a smothered turkey chop and fried corn. This is in the old Sra. Martinez space, by the way. 4000 NE 2nd Ave., Miami. Call 305-573-5474, or visit southstreetmiami.com

Tobacco Road

Miami’s oldest bar hosts an election-watching party on its patio with drink specials and a free beer if you show up with your “I Voted” sticker. No love for early voters who long ago tossed their stickers and did laundry, but at least the regular drinks here are cheap anyways. Age 21 and up. 626 S. Miami Ave., Miami. Call 305-374-1190, or visit tobacco-road.com

The Vagabond

The downtown club’s regular Tuesday night, Stone Groove, hosts a viewing party alongside its usual bill of open mic performers and resident DJs. A few drink specials apply: $2 Grolsch from 10 to 11 p.m., $5 Jameson all night, and $5 “Sweet Revenge” all night, whatever that is. Age 21 and up. 30 NE 14th St., Miami. Call 305-379-0508, or visit thevagabondmiami.com

Villa Mayfair

Do you remember the last time you went to the Grove, or specifically, the Mayfair pocket of it? No? Here’s a reason to maybe consider. The newish Villa Mayfair restaurant, when it opened last year, tried to kit itself out South Beach-style, full of overly expensive French fare and a DJ booth. When that concept tanked, it retooled, and the place reopens tomorrow with a markedly more casual vibe — think $11 pork belly and avocado sandwiches and beer-braised mussels for $14.

Starting at 3 p.m., you can head here to watch election coverage on its three new large-screen TVs, dance to ’80s music, and enjoy up to three free drinks a person — champagne for ladies and beer for men. Of course that’s needlessly sexist — how about just free beer/champagne, period? — so maybe this is a Romney stronghold, but we figured we’d include this for any dedicated freeloaders who might be in the area. 2901 Florida Ave., Miami. Call 305-774-1555, or visit villa-mayfair.com
